Around the time that the hottiefied girl was thrown into an all-male cell and she was, shall we say, passed around like a joint at a high school party, the story completely lost me. The fun started to recede with the principal, but this was the breaking point. Stories like this should be, I don't know, fun, not disturbing. Ultimately, I found that I was reading about an innocent girl suffering through disproportionate punishment for a minor transgression (and even then, I'm stretching the definition). Maybe people who loved
Drag Me to Hell would enjoy this, but I just couldn't.
Her friend turned out pretty nice, though, even if we never ended up seeing the 'Carlos' that made her into a rich glamourpuss.
I'm not faulting the art, by any means; it was superb. The story that the art was used to tell, however...
