That said, anything that has to do with politics will always be political, and opinion will always find a way into it, regardless of how hard a journalist tries to be unbiased. Even if it just enters in the mind of the reader, someone will always find something they'll complain is politically driven by it.
Franklin was fond of fabricating stories against people he didn't like. The best is when he reported one person was dead. When he actually wasn't and tried to correct it, Franklin printed that he was an impostor. When the man finally died, Franklin congratulated the impostor for finally dying and ending the pretense. Yeah, Franklin was an absolute dick.
