Funny, it looks to me like FDR inherited hell and helped us slowly climb
out. You can try and pretend things would have gotten better on their
own, but there is no real proof of that. And notice we've all been better
off since, except when conservatives try to shut New Deal programs
down and we see the same problems arise again. Like the current
financial crisis that arose from deregulation. In fact, it goes directly to
shutting down New Deal safeguards.

Remember, the the FDIC, Social Security, and SEC came out of FDR's
New Deal. SOCIAL FREAKIN SECURITY, DUDE! And insuring your
bank deposits! Oh, and he and his VP won the last real war too. WW2!
You know, the one against Hitler, the most evil man in the last century?
So, you can try to rewrite history all you want. The man is and always
will be a MAJOR American hero and one of our best presidents.
