Actually that's not really true. If you check out some research on social psychology you can greatly alter moods and dispositions with subliminal messages.
Method
Control group - Read a list of random neutral terms on a word list. For example, "Country, Geometry, Tree, Carpet, Paper..." etc. Afterwards they watched a video and interpreted a neutral situation of a couple trying to make a decision.
Experimental group - In this group, every few words would include a negative term. "Country, Geometry, Angry, Carpet, Paper, Punishment..." etc. They watched the same video then rated interactions.
As you may have guessed, the people who were exposed to those negative words rated (on a 1-10 scale) the actors as being rude to each other more often than the control group (statistically significant of course).
Does this generalize to your physiology? I do not believe so. However, I am not willing to call it impossible, so far it just seems improbable.
