Take the books in my room, for instance. I have some fiction. SOME. They're mostly dominated by Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, H.G. Wells and Edgar Allan Poe. But the rest of my fiction consists of Classic Literature (Homer, Ovid, Shakespeare), which has seen far more use than the rest. Why? I use referrences to those on a daily basis. The rest of my books consist of Mythology and Folklore, Philosophy, Anthropology, Film, Science (mostly Physics, Quantum Physics and Theory, and Chemistry), History, Sociology, and Psychology texts. The rest are tabletop Roleplaying Game books.
In total, the number of books I own exceed 1200, and that's not counting the number of magazines I own, either. The fiction I own consists of 234 books. Gamebooks equal 31. The rest are the texts I read and use almost everyday.
It's the things I could be doing that far outweigh my interest to just stick around, waiting for something to be happening. That's why I don't play video games. I'd rather get something done that can't be erased by a freak power surge.
