Keeping a journal can help too. I recommend a real world, pen and paper one, not just some file on the computer, as writing the words forces you to slow down and gives you a chance to think as you write. It serves a dual purpose: forcing you to move at a slower pace, and so too slow your thoughts, and it gives you that outlet to get the thoughts out of your own head.
