Yeah, well, SEGA handled the PS3 port, and the only thing SEGA's done right in the last decade has been Ryu ga Gotoku, so that's not too much of a surprise.
Also it's not just texture quality/AA/video compression. Later in the game the 360 version gets some major FPS drops in crowded areas.
