Didn't that happen in Dungeon Keeper games? Your guys increased in size? Of course, it wasn't substantial and the only female unit was a dominatrix... Fun game though.
Anyway, what Weirdo says seems to be pretty straight forward - in "Rise of Legends" there is a size changing unit.
As to WC3... well, the info you've got is really too vague for any kind of easy search and it's been sometime since I played warcraft.
