Notation for laymen:
127.0.0.1 is an address specifically set aside as a "loopback." Any time you use that address, it's essentially setting yourself as the destination/target of whatever you're doing. Script kiddies that downloaded a program that's supposed to attack you are usually too stupid to realize this, but the opportunities to use this prank are few and far between.
