I think my suggestions is pretty good, we have a digimon named for the Elder Gods in the form of Dagonmon who has in the show tried to get Kari already. Of course Season 2 of Digimon involved the plans of no less than 3 Arch-Villains (Daemon, Myotismon and Milleniummon) the first two basically useing the left overs of the 3rd's failed master plan to execute there own master plans. Daemon wasn't fully defeated and Dagonmon's plans never got defined, hell only people who know what he looks like realize he was the ruler of the Dark Ocean. Out of the 5 Powerful Villains(Apocylamon, Myotismon, Daemon, Dagonmon and Mulleniummon) from season 1 and 2 of digimon at least 3 where from alternate digital worlds!
Apocylamon - The Resentment and Despair of digimon who failed to evolve/died given form
Myotismon - Demon Digimon with dreams of conquest
Daemon - Demon Digimon who wants to contour other worlds
Dagonmon - A lovecraftian Horror in digimon form
Mulleniummon - Digimon who is destruction and death incarnate actually links Digimon seasons 1,2 and 3 Together. Ken from season 2 and Ryo from season 3 where summoned to fight him in the Neo-Geo pocket game Tag-Tamers. he infected Ken with the Darkspore and is why Cyberdramon is a bezerker.
