Re: Midna BE Story

So little time, so much to do.

While Link, Ruto and Nabooru were resting, the others were still traveling toward the desert. They had been hurrying, but when they realized contact had been established, they decided to save their energy for tomorrow.

Link and Midna still felt ill at ease in this place. They could probably defeat - or at least hinder - the Curse? but after doing so, how could they get back? The portal through which they had come had faded into thin air.

Furthermore, Midna was becoming increasingly worried and paranoid over the Curse itself. From what they had observed, it seemed the Curse wanted her back under its influence. She being the first person to have been Cursed, apparently a lot of the Curse?s power was in her.

She tried to keep an eye on the grass on which she walked. She felt that, if she should even stand in a droplet of Cursed milk, the situation would worsen beyond repair. Her rather splendid chest made it problematic to observe the floor right below her, however.

The slow-paced walk was getting slower yet, and the party had just decided to set up camp, when they saw a dark figure in the moonlight. They heard a familiar laugh rising up from it, and realized right away that it was the Curse.

?What do you want from us now?? Saria said, nearly in despair because of the Curse?s reappearing. ?Ah, I assure you it?s not you I?m looking for, green girl. No, I?m actually looking for a woman I?ve missed for quite some time?? he said.

Princess Zelda and Saria glanced at Midna, who stood and listened with clenched fists. ?Yes?? the Curse went on, slowly walking in the group?s direction. ?That rather gorgeous woman over there? she was the first person to host me, you know.?

?And due to the fact that my first host was such a powerful one, I was able to become more and more powerful myself? but now I?ve been separated from you for a while, and it?s been breaking my heart? and fading my strength,? the monologue continued.

?And wouldn?t you know it, everyone ignores you when you ask them for favors? so I suppose I have to do everything myself.? ?No good man or woman in this land would ever cooperate with a demon such as yourself,? Zelda said coldly.

?Demon? Is this the extent of your originality? To call me the villain again?? the Curse said, sounding very much like an irritated schoolteacher lecturing a lazy student. ?I?ve already told you, I?m not evil. I offer people chances??

?By forcing this onto them?? Saria said, glancing at her feminine figure. ?That was regrettable, for a part, but I was on the verge of death? and you weren?t undividedly against my changes when I showed you the merits?? the Curse answered.

?You mean, when you tried to poison my mind,? Saria said angrily. ?Did Zelda ask for this? Did Nabooru ask for this?? she said, pointing at the enormous woman sleeping in the distance ? her rear end like a massive dark hill under the stars. ?And so many women in this land??

?Now, it?s funny you should bring that up. Who brought the Curse to Zora?s Domain? I don?t think it was me,? the Curse said, hardly suppressing a chuckled. Saria was a little shocked ? she hadn?t thought about that particular event for a while.

?But it?s not like it wasn?t your plan ? you knew I?d come to Zora?s Domain for help! And even after things were starting to get clean again, you tried to force Nabooru to start the whole thing over again,? Saria said, thinking the whole situation over again.

?Well, I?ve broken the rules a few times,? the Curse said apologetically, ?But does that make me evil?? ?You?ve never believed in any rules, or you would politely offer the changes you apply, and you would apply them in moderation, and not like you did,? Zelda whispered.

?But this is what I am. I was created for this purpose. Am I not making the best of it?? The Curse said, once again becoming angry. ?No, you aren?t. Zelda said it ? the only right way to use your kind of magic is by offering it, and only using it to the requested extent,? said Saria.

The Curse seemed to be a little confused for the first time. ?But? it?s my purpose. I must be reunited with the original bearer, at least?? he weakly defended. Link stepped forward, the Master Sword pointed threatening at the Curse.

?You just don?t understand. My magic is not evil, and it is not a Curse? although we?ve gotten used to that name, haven?t we? I would rather call it a blessing. But fine, think what you will. You?ll see the truth one day,? the Curse said, before disappearing once more.

?Ugh? for a moment, I had hoped he was going to accept he was wrong and leave us alone?? Saria said. ?Do not give up on that yet. We all saw and heard its doubt, and perhaps we have planted a seed that will bear fruit in the future,? Zelda said.

The group set up camp and discussed the events of that evening until they all fell asleep on the spot.
