I won't admit at being an authority on growth, but I'll give you some advice on presenting the "process":

First of all, the girl in question must be feeling worried or woozy about the process that happens to establish the odd occurance.

Second, she should wear clothes that help enhance the effect of growth. Belts, buttons, seams, and laced sandals; basically anything with breakable parts you can get close-ups on and break to produce the effect. Either she has to break it or you have to, and if it's you, you might feel a little guilty about wreaking a girl's wardrobe.

Third, use the blue screen as little as possible and let the human mind assume she's growing to her full height. An over-the-shoulder camera shot can help, usually with her standing on a ladder or a stepping stool so she can move herself upwards, furthering the growth effect's believeability.

If you want some decent examples of how growth effects are done, you should study the videos sold at "GrowthDreams.com" and "taylormadeclips.com". Not every video each producer has for sale may be the kind of effects you're looking for, but if you do find at least 2 from each one worth studying, that'll be worthy credit toward your own work.

Hope my advice comes in handy. Good luck!
