If you knew half of the story behind that "vacation" you'd step off, as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who lost their account for a week for getting heated and posting stupid shit. It was a just call, and I have no qualms with being banned for such dickery in the future.

What if I want to read a book with a fetishist bent? Why pick one or the other?

...and it would've ended there, had you kept it a private gift. Instead, you posted it for all to see, and somebody *GASP* didn't like it. "Don't like, don't look" is bullshit precisely because it makes a mockery of technological measures designed to keep private ideas private.

Not one of which is here, and not one of which is immune to criticism. To put that in perspective, I once wrote The Odyssey completely from memory, but I never showed it to anyone.

Last time I checked, this forum accepted DOC and PDF attachments, two of the most common non-plaintext formats. Nobody's asking you to type the whole thing in chapter-by-chapter, but nobody's telling you not to do so, either.

My turn to be harsh, since "the other side" is now "trolls" and "annoying people". If you can't stand a little harsh criticism, don't bother posting. I'm not kidding. If you think you have it bad here, then real life would absolutely eat you alive. PMs are there precisely to spare you from the agony of other people having to see personal gifts that maybe aren't up to your usual quality. Ignoring that feature is your own decision, and may result in someone getting frustrated and going off on your style of story.

Honestly, I didn't think your story was that bad - not my style, but certainly not deserving the response it got. However, the entire viewpoint that your - and here, I mean the third-person abstract "your", not the second-person "I'm commenting on your art" - work is so great that your shit miraculously doesn't stink is patently ludicrous, and that goes for Rembrandt as well as the street musician on the corner.

For what it's worth, if this ends up being my last post here for a while, I can't see how it wouldn't be for the best, if this entitled attitude is the direction future creators are going to take.
