Cats are cool, but I'd be afraid if I didn't do something like that, that the local animal shelter would get me and that after I would get neutered and if after a while I'd not get adopted and be put to sleep.

Exactly what I would do. Or write in the dirt. Or - worse case scenario - pee it out.
Still, better a cat than some other creature with an even shorter life-span.
