I've still been lurking here, enjoying all the additions and postings. Thought I'd chime in on EC vs non EC. I think this thread does a pretty great job about parsing through what is and is not EC. A much better job than say the 2chan weekly thread even.
I have to say before I created VampYou when Id search for content how much of a bummer it was to find vampire TF only for their not to be an evil conversion, that they retained their senses or whatever, it was the worst.
So as a result when it comes to EC I've kind of become what I'd like to call a fundamentalist, my views on what is EC line up heavily with rick404 and Xanderfox.
The Vampire theme offers clear rules that I can use where clear EC is always visibly present. Whether it's a complete dissolution of self and rebirth as a creature like vampire, or personality intact but now willfully evil. Vampires offer constant reinforcement of that to the viewer, whether with physical changes, or when they encounter a cross, or some other item that posed no threat to them before becoming a vampire.
Being able to commission high quality work myself has been extremely liberating in this sense. I appreciate this thread and everyone's effort to keep only high quality EC the focus.
