That is so rarely how it works in reality though. I mean a great deal of artists get there start doing something they love. They hone there craft and eventually get good enough to get paid professionally to do just that. When that time comes most want to hide the part that got them to where they are. Since artist have a style and that style is like a thumbprint. Things come back to bite you in the ass now a days.
It is too rare that you get the freedom to post what you want or like and not get judged by anyone. I am sure that is how we would like to see the world but it is not how it works. Thus I think we can all understand.
On a different note, I don't think it would be nice to post a archive of his work. It would seem that he wanted it off the net and we should respect that. I would think that re-posting his work would be a direct opposite of why he closed shop in the first place.
I guess it is ironic that now he is gone. His works will probably be posted on every site like this from here to eternity so people can archive it. So yeah... it is what it is.
