On a totally different note, I am thinking about making a Sailor Moon side-scroller beat-em-up like Final Fight or Golden Axe, except it involves charm attacks in addition to getting owned. The idea is that each girl has a "charm bar" and if it gets depleted, they get led away by a bad girl and then before the boss battle you have to fight a converted Scout.
Now, I was thinking of using old sprites from the old SM brawlers, but I thought, where the hell is the fun in that? Although, the alternative is to use those as a base and have artists do modifications on them based on kiss moves.
Rainday suggested using 3DCG like Fairy Fighter, though there's the obvious issue of how the fuck to design monstergirls in it. For that reason alone it may be tough. Thoughts?

No idea how you'd set up the sprite, but I can do posing in a solid color background. As for the enemy types, if you'd give me a list, I could tell you what I can and can't do. And frankly, looking at what I've already done with 3DCG, if you want to just pick something I've used before, I could do that.
