This was partly "inspired" by Marvelous Melmo (aka ふしぎなメルモ, Fushigi na Merumo) , an early anime series with AR/AP, by the same guy (Osamu Tazuka, aka The God of Manga), who created Astro Boy and Kimba the while Lion ("inspration" for Disney's Lion King).
