The same could be said of Pan or even Trunks, if you don't take the chibi art as canon. Maybe it's reading much but it is true! Gohan was the son og a sayan and a human an he could transform, as well as Goten. But Trunks and Bra, also children of a sayan/human couple, never transformed!
In the case of Pan though, she is a daughter of a "half" sayan and a human which thins the bloodline a little more. But again, it is a bit too much even though I like those nerd ramblings sometimes.
