New Rapidshare > Mediafire in download speed and upload amount (infinite) if I remember.
However, you can't upload just any old thing and at a decent speed like Mediafire since its linked to an account.
Besides, at 500MB, you should split it in about 5 parts anyway with 7-Zip or Winrar.
