That would have been a fun path to take as well, but as I said, this was for a contest and the deadline was looming a mere 24 hours after I found out about it. Thanks for the input.
Incidentally, elek-tronikz has finished the piece I requested as my prize. This has Nabiki from the story, as well as Tokiko Tsumura of Busou Renkin and Soi Fon of Bleach succumbing to the Bovine Puella virus. Thought some folks here might enjoy it.
