The US censors aren't going to allow topless women so they can't ever do a detailed female transformation like they've done with the male werewolves. They're also apparently not creative enough to work around that restriction with implied nudity, nudity covered with fur, or even just having her tear off layers of clothing without getting completely naked.
The male TFs were good, but they can't do it with female characters sadly.
Also.. the wolves in the US version kind of look like giant rats to begin with.

+1 to that, dude, specially with the lack of creativity... the epitomy of dumbness was the scene with FOUR werewolf TFs and they just walked around with lame changes of plane. Plainly ridiculous.
