I agree Tf-viewer, the idea of artists being angst ridden sufferers to make a great story isn't true, a great story is one that the viewer can feel a vested interest in, forgettable movies are that way because the writer didn't understand how to connect with the audience.
If an actor says he had a miserable time making a movie then he isn't giving 100% of his effort, in any job if you don't like what your doing, how can you truly give it the attention it needs.
Misery/Angst is just an angle to build the persona the artist portrays to the public to create interest, humans have done it since the beginning of time
