This is a valid criticism, especially since anatomical inaccuracy is a sin in both erotic and TF fiction, but I went into the scene with a very particular fetishistic image to produce, so I ignored reality and then acknowledged after the scene that I must've ignored it. I put in a line to clue the reader that I went with fantasy over anything realistic in that sense, indicating that her tail had in fact grown from the correct location after all.
Consider it the same kind of anatomical nonsense that allows extra arms to grow out of someone's sides where there's only ribs.
