Thank you for the comment! I should probably have specified that this story is a work in progress (is there a way to change the thread title? :P), so there's still more to come.

About those little holes at the start, that's a little problem with posting it all at once like this... I had actually posted each part with a little bit of time in between, which explains why each part more or less ends with a small cliffhanger. More and more gets explained gradually, basically!

It took a little while to get my account activated here, though, so that couldn't work, sadly!
