So, I just reread the original comic before thumbing through the sequel.
Part II has a tough act going for it given the first installment is still my favorite entry of both the Suzy & Frank line and your entire catalog. There’s the additional obstacle any sequel presents: Continue the story without repeating yourself.
So I was glad to breath a sigh of relief once it downloaded. Overall, I liked it. Part I is still my favorite and you can't beat it, but this is a strong follow-up as we pick up where we left off last time: The shrunken Suzy and Marilyn at the mercy of the now adult Mandy.
I appreciated how you listened to the reviews for the first comic and zeroed in on our dynamic duo trying to convince someone that they’re really shrunken adults. That was my favorite part of this comic -- aside from Mandy's cunning plan going downhill (literally).
The art is just as kickass as last time. Palcomix stepped up their game again and the higher price reflects the higher quality. The recap is appreciated as we get to see Suzy and Marilyn get downsized again as you point out. What I also like about the recap is that it distills the first comic into 5 pages without seeming like a compression or that anything's lost. It allows Part II to stand on its own without having to read Part I.
My only real quibble was the lack of a great Palcomix cover like last time, but c'est la vie.
And of course, you leave the door open for a third day at the beach...
