I would have put this in F&BS, but I'm actually interested in having a semblance of a focused conversation.

Which is better? Is one better than the other? In the end, if both are available to you, does it really make that big of a difference?

Personally, I prefer dubs to subs, but I recognize the quality of the subs. I tend to prefer dubs is because they use my primary language. That makes it easier to follow them (and imitate them, in some cases), for the most part. Not to mention the fact that I like to multitask. If I'm watching a subbed anime, I have to watch the screen the entire time so that I don't miss anything, which limits my multitasking. Still, one of the other advantages of subs is that I can eat crunchy things without having to worry about not catching what someone said.
