Not to mention that with implants there is no process, only a before and after. That is, unless you also have a fetish for surgeries, I guess.
Well I can understand that feeling, but that last part's not accurate really. Adam Plantz and, actually, most writers who use breast implants (all three of them, including me) tend to explain that away by saying it's saline expanders--they're real, BTW, and actually allow more saline to be added to the breasts to make them larger. It's exactly like normal BE in that respect, but the difference, at least in my opinion, is that it has some other, less "clean" or "glamorous" aspects.

There usually is, in most of Adam Plantz's stories, an aspect of how psychologically and physically messed up these people end up, and in my mind it adds a layer of characterization to it. Basically these girls are all these really insecure and vain people who do terrible things to themselves because they feel inadequate, and you get a real idea of their personalities and why they do this. "StackeDDD" gives a GREAT version of this, where you really see the main character, Vanilla, break down under the stress. She basically loses it at the end.

Also, is "anything possible" in fantasy? I mean, I get what you're saying, and believe me I enjoy something like Missing Materia by Lightfoot as much as the next pervy nerd and it's basically all about magic, but it's not really true that ANYTHING is possible in fiction.

I mean, I've been reading/writing BE fiction for...Christ, at least since 1997? Fifteen years right. And in all that time, I get this feeling that "magic" and "pills" seems to be the main form of BE there is. Sometimes it doesn't even really make sense--this is me, speaking from the perspective of a nerd, so forgive my nerdness--but somehow I always find it both odd and farcical that EVERY spellbook EVERYWHERE has a breast spell.

Something tells me Antimatter Universe me is complaining "Why are there no magical BE stories, everyone always uses breast implants!" lol

But I totes understand how it's not everyone's thing. I guess the best way I would describe it is, it's like "hard sci-fi" and "soft sci-fi", where the former is really concerned with physics and science that exists within what we understand of the universe and in the other you have teleporter machines and warp drives and lasers. Like, William Gibson vs Gene Roddenberry, they're both fine but one is more plausible than the other scientifically. And for some people that makes a difference.

So, like magic and nanotech or pills-which-are-also-magic would be "soft" BE and breast implants would be "hard" BE lol
