Yup, read the rules... BE just has to be a main theme but that's not to say you can't stick in other things by all means. Mainly, that one is to discourage people who have written a story where a girl grows by a cup size trying to pass it off as a BE story.
Sexiness... I suppose the best way to understand what I'm getting at is to read a Fret Pearson or Bill Pratt story. It's more to do with the feel of the story rather than explicit sexual content... in fact, explicit descriptions of sex can often damage the sexiness of the story. It's really the almost indefinable quality that makes the difference between a good story and a great one.
Also, as to the 5,000 words. I should stress, that's NOT a target you should be aiming for. It's the absolute bare minimum. I know that Mr. HHH has a permissive attitude to word counts for his contest but I am of the opinion that even a talented writer would struggle to knock out a great story in 5,000 words. You could probably do a helluva scene but this is a contest for stories. Feel free to prove me wrong and write an astonishing 5,000 word tale... but really, if it's good then it seems a shame there isn't more of it.
