For those not certain of ideas, here are some ideas...

Someone finds an "up to date" biography for Sharon. So up to date in fact, it's up to the second and contains her every thought and action and everything that has happened to her since birth.
Interesting... but not a BE plot device? AHA! The biography is in pencil and sections of it can be erased and rewritten, with Sharon and reality altering to accommodate the changes... having thought about it, it would be more sensible that the changes are Sharon-centric, as that represents the path of least resistance but all it needs is. All you need is a boyfriend, girlfriend or similar to feel mischievous with it and you've got some fun going on.
