Re: New TMC "AliceCat"

I'll throw out my thoughts on this subject and I think I've mentioned it before. This may be long too and a bit bias, so I apologize! Anyway, there's a few reasons I think TMC does things the way they do. First, is experience. Taylor isnt that big a transformation type, she prefers more stuffing, belly, breast, etc type clips. Bud likes the transformation stuff but doesn't do as much of the filming. That will obviously lead to different views on how to do certain transformations and in the end, things may become too complicated or time consuming and fall apart. Second is talent and this part is one of the biggest problems. Taylor is a film maker and actress, bud is a film maker, so neither one of them is a special effects/sculptor/artist/make-up artist. They can have the coolest looking outfit or prosthetic piece but if they have no idea how to glue it to a woman's face and get it all blended in, it's going to look like shit regardless if it cost $10 or $1000. Also consider the actresses they have to work with are also generally not professional Rick Baker style prosthetic creating types either and you end up with a lot of ambition but a lot of problems.

One of those problems is finding a real Rick Baker type of make-up artist that wants to put his name on what is pretty much considered pornography. Now if you look at the people that know how to make a costume like American Werewolf in London, I bet your ass they don't do porno flicks. Hell, take a look at the effects IN some of the porno flicks that have "transformation" in them. They're terrible, because people that make Hollywood style transformation work don't work in the porn industry, not if they ever want to work outside of it. There's always a chance of course that TMC can find a really laid back retired make-up type of person that is thrilled to work on transformation films and joins their little team just to show off some skills, but after all these years they haven't found them, and probably won't anytime soon.

It may sound harsh but TMC is trying, and they want to make clips people want to see, but again 99% of people here want to see a woman doing American Werewolf in London with the same level of detail and prosthetic work as the original movie. That just won't happen, at least not for a long while. And even if people say that's not what they want to see, that they could deal with less effects here or use a better camera angle there, they're just kidding themselves! We all want to see a hot woman turn into a snarling hairy, muscular, tailed beast, on camera, with claws and nipples flying around. But you can't expect that level from TMC right now, and maybe never simply because the people that can do that level of effects wants nothing to do with the porn industry. If they did, we'd have 20 versions of An American Pornwolf in London by now.

Finally I'll touch on a part of this I know somebody always brings up, the fact that they saw so and so on youtube use $10 worth of make-up to make a woman look like a cat or something. Sure, that shit looks great, I can't knock them and I've seen the stuff too, it looks awesome. The problem? NO PROCESS. It's all well and good if you can take $10, go to Walmart and turn a hot woman into a hot cat woman, but you're going from point A straight to F and skipping all the awesome B, C, D, and E in between. People here, in general, could give two shits if the girl is super hot or not and if she turns into a hairless, two legged rat looking thing at the end, as long as they see HOW she gets from girl to hairless rat thing. Make-up can always end up looking awesome at the end, but it's that journey I want to see along the way that's always the pain in the ass. But then, if transformation process wasn't such a pain in the ass, everybody would be doing it.

So while TMC may appear not to be spending much on make-up or props, believe me, they've spent a great deal on many things for many clips. It's not their ability to try things or buy things that makes some of the transformation clips awkward, it's the lack of really skilled artists that want to attach their names to porno clips that's the big problem. Find TMC some volunteers or people that know how to get the $10 make-up kit to become American Werewoman in London and I bet your ass TMC will hire them right now. Otherwise, send in suggestions, scripts, tips, help, whatever you can and realize that in the end, they're the ones making clips that WE want to see in the first place and that's hard to knock. That's my feelings on this stuff, I could be wrong.
