My line of thought was to simply recreate American Werewolf in London's transformation scene with a female. Now of course we can add more details to it than they did in the original film, showing extra nipples, a tail, more fur growth, the claws growing in (which they showed a little of during the movie theater transformation) and other little things here or there. My reasoning is basically that if we say recreate that scene, then everybody involved immediately knows what they're up against from acting, to props, to lighting and sound effects. We know exactly what the goal is and we have visual reference to what we want as opposed to trying to take a script and visualize a whole new storyline to go with the transformation.

Also, we shouldn't be trying to do a 20 minute short film, this should be the bare bones, straight to the point scene. This should be a 3 or 4 minute transformation of a hot woman into a giant four legged monster that blows us away. We don't need two or three people or some complex storyline to go with it. I could be in the minority, but if not, I can assume that most people are into Werewolf Transformation for the transformation itself. I think focusing on just that for now could lower the costs and be a starting point for doing further community funded projects that could evolve into bigger and better things.

The last thing we want to do is try to add so much to such a simple idea that it loses focus, funding and support. We can't please everybody with one short transformation, that is human nature. Perhaps when the numbers come in, a short American Werewolf in London type transformation would run us $10,000. We throw in our cash, it gets made, it becomes a hit and then we ramp it up with a sequel of sorts that costs $40,000 and really blows everybody away and so on. I say we start small with well established ideas that most people already approve of, and then if that works, we start to branch out and push things. That's what I would think is best for all of us, but that's my opinion.
