For the record I've seen a lot of similar short film werewolf projects getting hyped up on the werewolf cafe. The difference seems to be those are usually concerned with getting the project done regardless of how little money they have. Most of them still end up going nowhere as far as I can tell.
Doesn't seem like they hang around so long, but talking to some of them about their SFX costs could be enlightening.
