How would you feel about doing either a pre-order or a kickstarter-type thing for the AR/AP version? Basically, I'd love to support the AR/AP version getting made, but I have (a) no interest in buying the current versions of ch4/5, nor do I have (b) the money to facilitate buying both editions, as what I buy is already a splurge for me to get & support something I really enjoy. I figure that doing a kickstarter/presale type thing would allow you to have much of the money assured before the comic is released, solving the issue of wanting to know you'll make enough money for a comic to be worth making
even better is that if you decide it's not enough, people just wouldnt be charged rather than you having to refund all the money
