Your favorite 60s rock song
I've been on a major 60s kick. I want to discover more stuff, so I'm going to whore out this thread for ideas.
Rules:
-Put down ONE song only, and the band that recorded the version you like.
-Look to make sure it hasn't been listed already. If it has, pick a different one.
-It's okay if it's from like 70 or 71...it's more about the feel and the sound. Just don't get really into the mid or late 70s. Use your judgement.
-Doesn't matter if it was/is really mainstream or not.
-Has to be rock and fucking roll. Real shit. Includes the psychedelic stuff. I like "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys, too, but that band doesn't belong in this thread.
Obviously no body has ONE favorite song, but I want to limit it so people get a chance to post some of the more obvious ones. Please don't just post esoteric for esoteric's sake. Don't put up some weird King Crimson song because you think you'll look all knowledgeable, but do put it up if it kicks your ass up and down your block. Let it be a song that really moves you.
I'll start with one of my old faves that I rediscovered after watching the Ginger Baker documentary:
"White Room" by Cream
