That's an interesting take on the process, but an extended period of time would need to be broken into super-compacted daily resumes so it doesn't drag on. Even if I did want to do a day-to-day thing, or week-to-week, it would make the story gigantic.
Let's not forget that a person's wallet is sustaining the commissions. :P The bigger it is, the more it costs!
