Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha. (Humanshifting ability)
In the first episode of "Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha", one of the new spring
anime series, the main female character is granted with a humanshifting
ability from a fox goddess. The triggering event was as follows: The main
female character, whose name is Inari, accidentally witnesses what seemed
to be a scene of her crush asking another girl out. Being discouraged that
she is less worthy than that girl, Inari wanders in a shrine and happens to
meet a fox goddess. The goddess offers to grant one of her wish, and Inari
wishes to be that other girl her crush asked out. The wish is granted and she
becomes that girl. However, as her family, friends and even her crush
becomes alert that her original self is missing, Inari regrets for making the
wish and goes back to the goddess to cancel it. Unfortunately, the goddess
tells her that she cannot ungrant the wish. Instead, the goddess comes up
with an idea of giving her a humanshifting ability that enables her to turn
back to her original self again. (There is a short and simple transformation
sequence for this one) She is also told that she can now transform into any
other human being at her will.
I haven't read the original manga, but I think her humanshifting ability has
great potential throughout the series.
