I swear that people in the twilight zone shows are dumber than dirt 90% of the time.

They get something amazing and instead of contemplating the implications and possibilities they instead just get petty and stupid.

Here we have a guy worried about the attention other males give his now prettied up wife, and instead of trusting her and realizing that he's the one who will potentially stay younger longer, he backlashes her.

A story like that has a lot of potential for exploration on how one's outward appearance can lead to a change of identity, a form of arrogance or entitlement for being pretty and a potential downfall in the form of it wearing off. They could also explore how different appearances affect how people treat them.

Instead of the guy backlashing against her immediately, he could over and over enhance himself to try to keep up, and find himself being lost in the process. That could lead to him self-destructing or backlashing out of bitterness against her.

This story is actually a good idea, but maybe the story had too few pages to work it all out.
