There are a few such features (Dice included), however the overall advantage IMO is a more streamlined interface that allows you to post a quip, pick your pic and quickly post away. It makes roleplay a lot easier, and feels more akin to chatting than posting in a forum.
This forum in particular's image-attachment process is somewhat arduous in the long run for that sort of thing, if it were to be done on a forum one might as well just change their avatar to the character they were playing.
