Re: mind control, bimbo transformation
I've been making my way through some of the Limerick stories I never read when I first discovered him. I had no idea that Slut TV contained a sequel to my most beloved of his stories, Calving Signs. Imagine my surprise when we got to see Terri again. This is what I get for only reading based on summaries!
I must say, the work place environments that he employs for his stories always make for his best stories. Not that I don't like titles like What You've Done For Me or A(ci)dmission but the stronger ensemble works always feel like grand symphonies coming together. Limerick's stuff really is high-grade art.
...although some of the naming inconsistencies drive me up a wall. Kit's girlfriend in Business Casual had her name randomly change mid-story! Sometimes proper nouns do not have the first letter of their names capitalized, either.
Still, I'm highly looking forward to the next installment. Fluid was a nice little return to the ensemble format that Limerick so thoroughly excels at. Whether it's a workplace, small town or school setting I always enjoy the multiple strings tie together in the end. Personally, I'm hoping his next ensemble piece is a workplace setting since its been a while since he did one of those. Then again, I'm also up for a nice little solo piece like Eight to Five or Campaign, too.
