Re: Female Werewolf Movie Seeking Funding

@ lowes96: The reason you don’t see a teaser video of a girl ripping off her clothes just before a transformation on the Kickstarter is because she isn’t making a fetish movie; it’s a legitimate film that just happens to feature a scene or scenes that cater to our highly specific interest. Also, she’s looking for 5,000 pounds, not “almost 8,000 pounds.”

She recently updated the homepage of her Kickstarter with this info:

“What will the transformation be like? This is probably the most important question. After all it tends to be the highlight of werewolf films. As a fan of B-movies, I'll be focusing on practical effects, prosthetics and making use of some stylised editing. Imagine a cross between 'An American Werewolf in London' and the owl transformation in 'Nightwatch'. It will be slow, painful and slick. No blurry shots. We want you guys to cringe and enjoy the unveiling of the wolf.” She also messaged me again after my original post here and said she considers the TF of a werewolf movie the “money shot.”

Of course it’s not going to look like “An American Werewolf in London” with a girl, what many in the TF community consider “the holy grail.” I even mentioned this in my original post. The only way that will happen is if Rick Baker himself comes out of semi-retirement and focuses exclusively on this project, which obviously isn’t going to happen, but this movie, if it gets funded, has to be better than the majority of female werewolf TF videos already out there, and this is coming from someone who commissioned one.

For inspiration, I e-mailed the director a link to “The Dark,” which, IMO, has come the closest to how I envisioned a female werewolf TF. According to the director of “The Dark,” that TF (makeup effects, casting of the prosthetics, etc.) was made for $500. My hope is that even if the director of this new movie just matches “The Dark” or does a little better, my money will have been well spent, and if she doesn’t make the target, I get my money back anyway, which is more than I can say for a certain project that shall remain nameless which took my money and ran, and I have yet to see anything for it.

Yes, you’re right that she’s probably not going to reach her target, especially if people who are supposedly into female werewolves don’t donate a dime. I obviously can’t twist your arms and make you guys donate, but then please don’t complain that there aren’t enough decent live-action female werewolf TF videos.
