Yes, definitely for the best. I wouldn't call it a "stinker" but it's basically an unfunny mess that tries for "Bruce Almighty" but can't quite make it work. It's Robin Williams' last film role, though as the voice of a talking dog it's not one of his best. And the Python gang are fun, but not enough to carry a film.
