I'd say: definitely long pointed ears. It's often forgotten/overlooked/ignored but to me feels like an essential part of a vampire. A link to their more batlike or wolflike nature without having to go all the way.

And as for skin colour changes, best to stay away from anything sparkly. making it paler wouldnt be bad though if done in moderation. It can otherwise backfire and come across as cheap.
