So I happened to pick up a book at random from amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/How-be-Hero-P...ASG#nav-subnav
It turned out pretty good for a non serious, light hearted and pretty G rated story that had transformation as a major theme. Up and coming Heroine, Susan, decides to enhance her reputation by taking on the Dark Lord Dominic, whom has been evilly lording it over his domain for a long time.
It turns out Dominic is a secret TF fetishist, as his castle has numerous traps that transform the various heros that come to get him in monsters that are stuck then defending the castle. Naturally this lures in more heros who get transformed and as such his castle is constantly growing. Several transformations are shown, including petrification, imprisonment as a living painting, and his favorite, dragons. Susan avoids a plushy fate, but fails in her overall objective and ends up as a Wyvern in service to Dominic.
That is where the story really starts. She gets a task from him upon which he will set her free. Her quest leads to some personal growth and musings on the meaning of being a monster, and dealing with her were-wyvern status. Along the way she picks up a small fennic mage and a fierce but tiny fairy dragon. I won't spoil the ending, but I will say it doesn't return to the status quo.
Overall it is ok, with only two autocorrect spelling errors and a decent pace. It parodies a number of classic D&D conventions without being mean about it and allows the characters to be clever, rather then win by randomly shouting super moves.
