It also states that he's finding less and less time to dedicate to these projects due to other things in his life, and trying to balance it all has been burning him out.
From what I've gathered, he doesn't sound like he wants to quit, more that due to life being life really, he had to cut something out, and I assume these projects took a lot of time and effort, so he had to stop for his own health and to deal with whatever's going on.
