I totally believe you. I'm an atheist, a skeptic, and generally not the sort of person who would be open to those kinds of things. Yet, through role play (fucking with someone's head) I've definitely come to places that feel triggered and uncontrollable. I've experienced phantom limb with limbs I've never had. The mind is a strange powerful place. Are you nervous? Do you think you/your partner should see some sort of doctor/therapist? Especially if she/they are struggling with a panic disorder that makes it hard to function...
