I guess the Piney's are insular to some extent. And there are issues with Orthodox areas that ignore reality too.

Yeah I think I'd do the same in the same situation, but out here it's really like another country. Populations are spread way out and even here in the city, I can walk blocks without encountering another person. There's a couple hubs like the waterfront and market but they all have a collected pathing system and lots of curbside delivery options to lower contact so it's much closer to a European response than many other American states. Tricky part right now is getting a campsite to head out and go to the wild because that's what everyone else is doing! Secluded cabin in the woods? Booked till next year. Lonely log cabin on an eternally snow capped mountain? Nice try.
Oh well, maybe I'll try backpacking and make camp well off in the wilderness somewhere.
