From a writing perspective, it's quite a minefield, isn't it? I'm going to hypothesize that it isn't so much that it is non-con, as that the audience seems to be invited to identify with the rapist and enjoy what she is doing. It's an issue with lots of fetish stories - getting to the point quickly involves making many antagonists so nonsensically evil that it shatters belief in the story. Since I basically never identify with the shrinkers, perhaps it is easier for me to ignore the problems, but that doesn't mean they aren't there.


How would we fix this story? Perhaps suggest that the soap is effecting Nancie's judgement somehow? It probably doesn't matter, as any third issue would be months or years away.
