No it is not. Been having trouble with that transition in my own story. Can't just go from being upset from being shrunk to let's have sex. It just comes off as jarring when that happens.

I'll respond to this part.
It can be a minefield as not everyone likes the same thing. It's difficult to write what you want but still try and make the audience happy by writing what they want. Story speed is a major issue. Most people want that instant gratification leading to what you have said.
