I think you did pretty good for a first try. You've definitely gone for an advanced pose by having her stand that way. Your art style seems to lean more on the realistic side as opposed to the anime style that first time artists usually spam, so thats a big PLUS in my book. BY throwing in that dresser you gave your character a certain air of presence, subtly hinting to the audience that she's standing on a plane in 3d space and not just perpendicular to the floor.
